Taylor was a standout athlete at Hamburg Area High School in Hamburg, PA, playing soccer, basketball, and cross country. She was a straight-A student, Homecoming Queen, student council vice-president, and was looking forward to attending DeSales University after graduating where she was to study to become a physician’s assistant and also play soccer.

Taylor was also an organ donor and even in her untimely passing, she was able to help someone. Her gift helped to give new hope and life to three individuals.

    The Taylor N. Seitzinger Memorial Fund was established shortly after her passing to accept donations, which will ultimately be used to provide scholarships to Hamburg Area High School seniors and DeSales students in Taylor’s memory.

    It was later decided that June 27, 2009 would be the first of hopefully many Run for Taylor cross country events with all proceeds to benefit the Taylor N.
